Drowning is the leading cause of preventable death in children ages 1 to 4, and most of these tragedies are preventable with the right skills. "Thanks to the advocacy of the @thesylasproject, I just had my pool fence redone. We had one installed before we came home with baby Dean, but we relaxed once he learned to swim, and often left the far end open to let the dog in and out. With a new crawler in the house, their work around pool safety awareness made me realize our fencing situation posed a huge danger to a curious baby. Drowning is the leading cause of death among 1-4 year olds. We've now extended the fence without needing to open it."
